The wrong lamp might fit, but that doesn’t mean it will work. Get it wrong and a mismatch can reduce performance, waste energy, or even cause disinfection failure. So how can you find out what the specification of your UV lamp is?

1. Check the Box (Yes, Really!)

The easiest and most accurate way to identify your replacement lamp? Keep the original box or supplier documentation. Quality manufacturers include the lamp reference number right on the packaging. If you’ve ordered from Alpha‑Purify before, you’ll find our reference number:

  • Etched directly onto the quartz tube
  • Printed on the box

If you have that code, we can get you a perfect match… fast.

2. Cross-Reference the Original Part

If you don’t have the box, don’t panic. We’ve built and maintained a lamp database with over 20,000 UV lamp specifications.

That includes cross-referenced models from other manufacturers. So even if your system was supplied with a different brand, we can likely identify a direct match based on the original part number.

The operating system itself (via documentation or electronic readout) many also contain lamp specification details. Just send us what you’ve got and we’ll take it from there.

3. Use the Alpha-Purify Lamp Specification Form

When there’s no reference number or supplier info available, we can still help. The best thing to do is download and fill in our UV Lamp Specification Form.

This form captures everything we need to accurately manufacture a replacement lamp that will perform correctly in your system.

Download it from here: Alpha‑Purify Downloads

The form covers: Lamp dimensions and electrical info Power supply details Quartz and end cap types The more details you can provide, the quicker the match.

Final Tip: Don’t Guess

It might be tempting to go by looks or rough measurements but small differences can have big consequences. If you're unsure, send us photos of the lamp, any system nameplates, or previous purchase records. Our team is here to help.
