From 5th-8th of November Alpha-Purify exhibited at Aquatech 2019 in the vibrant city of Amsterdam. This year, Aquatech was celebrating its 55th anniversary and it didn’t disappoint! It provided an unparalleled platform to meet, address and learn from over 21,000 industry professionals within the water technology sector. This year show attracted 10% more visitors compared to last year, and as many as 70% of the exhibitors have rebooked stands for 2021.
The show entailed four action packed days of informative and interactive networking exhibitions. It was a great opportunity for industry peers to share educational and technical innovations to transform the water industry. Aquatech’s exhibitors, demonstrations and inspirational seminars are an effective way of bridging the gap between business’s and transformative water technology.
Our Head of Global Sales Berenika Bond and Marketing Manager Natasha Wallace were representing Alpha-Purify and the benefits of UV technology within the water disinfection market at this year’s show. Our stand was in the perfect location, which enabled us to converse with both new and existing customers as well as discussing industry insights with other experts within the water sector. Being at Aquatech 2019 gave us a great opportunity to engage with our existing OEM customers of which many had stands at the show themselves.
“This was my first time attending the Aquatech show and found it an ideal event to showcase how Alpha-Purify and UV disinfection can transform the water disinfection industry. Some of my personal highlights from the exhibition were the ‘Mastering Waters Digital Transformation’ forum, which was targeted at tackling the water industry’s dilemmas and making people think differently about water. The new outdoor demonstration section was a great addition to this years Aquatech, where you could see processes such as transforming rainwater into beer and even more astonishingly turning urine into tea. Both showcased the varied applications that desalination, purification and the re-use of water can provide.”
-Natasha Wallace Marketing Manager-
Throughout the show, it was obvious that everyone’s common goal was creating a more sustainable future whilst growing businesses within the water industry. A key player for this is the reuse of waste water and desalination. UV disinfection has been recommended by the scientist as the best approach to destroy harmful organisms and viruses within water. By using UV technology, it can considerably increase the efficiency of water treatment plants and desalination facilities.
Waste water and desalination are just two of the many applications you can use UV technology for within the water industry. At Aquatech we talked about a range of water applications that UV is currently used within such as: drinking water, aquaculture, marine, waste water, healthcare, packaging and processing, oil and gas, aquatics, horticulture, food and beverage, mining and laboratories.
We would like to thank everyone who visited our stand, it was a pleasure to meet you all. Over the next couple of weeks, we will be following up from leads and enquires obtained at the show and both Berenika and Natasha are excited for the new ventures and opportunities this years Aquatech has provided. Due to this we are proud and excited to announce we will be exhibiting at Aquatech 2021.
